화살과 노래

나는 허공을 향해 화살을 쏘았으나
화살은 땅에 떨어져 간 곳이 없었다.
빠르게 날아가는 화살의 자취
누가 그 빠름을 따라갈 수 있었으랴.
나는 허공을 향해 노래를 불렀으나
노래는 땅에 떨어져 간 곳이 없었다.
누가 날카롭고도 강한 눈이 있어
날아가는 그 노래 따라갈 수 있었으랴.
세월이 흐른 뒤 고향의 뒷동산 참나무 밑동에
그 화살 부거지지 않은 채 꽂혀 있었고
나의 노래 처음부터 마지막 구절까지
친구의 가슴속에 숨어 있었다.
